Family Dynamics

You’re not the only one struggling—everyone’s family has its demons. Come join a support group where we can bear our souls and help each other make sense of the chaos.

  • Starts 28th June, 2023
  • 8 Zoom sessions | Every Wednesday 9 PM
  • Confidential | Small group, 6-8 people
  • 75-minute online video Zoom conversations
  • Led by therapist Shivaani Jaswani

Goals of the group

Familial ties are the first relationship we form followed by friendship, romantic, work and other relationships later in life; thus, former leaves an impact and affects our capacity to form other relationships as well.
Therfore, this group is for people who want to know more about themselves and the ways in which they find themselves relating to other people. This is also a space to discuss conflicts, tough situations and boundaries.

Who is it for?

This group is for anyone who wants to work towards resolving familial conflicts, build healthy relationships and at the same time taking care of themselves and their boundaries. In this space you have permission to speak up against family members that try to keep you in roles and boxes you have already outgrown.

What will we talk about?

• Parent-child issues or sibling conflicts or extended family
• Tough situations and relationships
• Managing the strong emotions that come up
• Setting clear boundaries and sticking with them
• Reducing stress and overwhelm
• Dealing with loss, anger, and other emotions
• How to cultivate calm and care for ourselves, despite chaos

My therapist recommended group therapy and I had been lookout for a group that was a fit. So glad I found SoulUp and signed up. This group has helped me more than therapy for some things.
