Goals of the group

The goal of this group is to help adolescents become more emotionally resilient. We will aim at offering a non-judgmental space for the participants to voice the struggles that they may face in expressing and understanding their emotions, thoughts and themselves. From here we will develop healthy ways to stand back up and keep moving ahead.

Who is it for?

This group is designed for adolescents in age range of 12-19. Anyone who wants to who wants to understand and cope with their emotions better. Group work also helps participants increase their capacity for self-expression, positive engagement and emotional assertiveness.

Meet your Facilitator

Malavika Mirchandani

Malavika has an M.A. in Psychology (Clinical) (India) and an MSc in Child and Adolescent Mental health (UK). She has been working as a School Counsellor in a prominent South Mumbai School (Cathedral and John Connon Middle School).

She specializes in working with children, adolescents, young adults and parents.
Specialist in Child Psychology, Behavioural Psychology for adolescents & young adults.

Check In. Participants check-in with each others’ feelings and answer the prompt given by the facilitator if any.

Conversation. Your facilitator will guide the group in a free-flowing conversation—with the goal of sharing openly, talking honestly, and deep emotional connection.

Check Out. Participants share what they’re taking away from the session.

Participants say that they feel heard, understood, more in control, and a feeling that you’ve got people rooting for you. By talking about your emotions and what’s going on in your life, you’ll realise that you’re not alone and get ideas for how to improve your situation.
